The topic of photovoltaics resonates more and more intensively in society. It is becoming a promising field offering employment to a wide range of people. This includes installers.
The number of solar power plants continues to grow
Simply put, photovoltaics is a method of directly converting sunlight into electricity. For this conversion, it uses semiconductor diodes (photovoltaic cells) interconnected in so-called photovoltaic panels. The principle applied here is called the photoelectric effect.
Photovoltaics are currently enjoying a literal golden age, with 33 760 solar power plants added last year alone. The much publicised collapse of an energy provider has sparked interest in photovoltaics. Demand was then accelerated by the current situation in Europe – the war in Ukraine accompanied by the energy crisis.
And companies that install solar panels are literally feeling the influx of clients first-hand. In many places, there are already problems meeting the massive demand. The photovoltaic sector in particular has thus confirmed the predictions of a significant transformation of the labour market, with some sectors disappearing in the wake of technological developments, while space for others is yet to be created.
This is also demonstrated by the European Training Academy, which currently also offers candidates the field of photovoltaic system installer as part of its vocational qualification system. This qualification follows on from the obligation under Act No 406/2000 Coll. on energy management, as amended.
The study is fully online. The student also receives an individual study plan, with which he or she can adapt the course to his or her time. Possible personal consultations are also possible and are always arranged individually with the individual teachers. The course ends with a state examination.
It is possible to apply at any time. The only conditions for admission to the course are that you must be at least 18 years old and have a medical condition. All applicants are admitted to the course and it is not necessary to take the entrance examination.
